Anyone else getting sleeved around Fourth of July w/e?

Heading down to San Antonio, then over the border on June 30th to see Dr Alvarez for VSG on July 1st. Is anyone else getting sleeved close to that date?

Is anyone else going to Dr Alvarez soon?

Everybody on this board is helpful and supportive but it would be nice to have some buddies in the same boat to compare notes with. Any takers?

Hi Robin, my surgery is scheduled for July 5th. I just woke up about an hour ago and am drinking my decaff coffee w/ skim milk.... I'm sooooooo sleepy, my 2 1/2 yr old kept me up last night being cranky and crying.... what I wouldn't do for some caffeine right now! UGGHHHH!

Thanks for the well wishes, I'm sure I'll get through it, I know I can do it and will be a better person because of it. I'm going to make myself some home made chicken broth later, it's so much better than the stuff in the can! That will help, I'm sure!

Talk to you later!

Wendy

I'll be your 'sleeve sister':). I'm going in for surgery on Wednesday, July 6th, with Dr. Barker in Dallas. I just found out about vsg in May and I knew immediately it was for me. So, I am moving forward pretty fast. I start my liquid diet on July 2nd. In the past, I have responded well to surgery and I don't have any other health issues (that I know about) so I am planning to be back at work on Monday after surgery. I have an office job and work from home some days too - so I don't plan on this keeping me down long (does that sound like someone who doesn't know what's ahead - or just positive thinking???:). You'll be a couple days ahead of me, so you'll have to prepare me...I have spent hours on YouTube reviewing vsg testimonials. There are alot who have successfully used Dr. Alvarez. You are in good hands!

Count me in too having the sleeve done by Dr Aceves on July 30... i'll be praying for all the July firecrackers... KEEP US POSTED!!!!
