Anyone use Mitchell Roslin from Lenox Hill? I'm just starting and thinking of using him.

yes, I used Dr. Roslin - he also has a practice up in Northern Westchester Hospital, which is where I had my VSG surgery ... he is great ... all went well & I was sleeved on Sept 24, 2011, and now down almost 54 lbs. I'm sure his team in Lennox is equally fabulous to that of NWH. Good luck! You'll do great!

I had my sleeve a few weeks ago with Dr. Chin at Mount Sinai...loved everything about it! Him, the hospital staff, (ESP the nurses...amazing!!) and the hospital. I could not recommend him more!

Thank you for the quick response. I've gone to several different seminars and read about the surgery and so far I think Dr. Roslin is best for me. I live in Westchester and can have all the pre op and post op care done in Northern Westchester but must have my surgery done in Lenox Hill because it is a bariatric center of excellence and my insurance, GHI, requires it.

I think you will be very happy w/Dr. Roslin ... truly, I am very very satisfied w/my results and how things went. Will you be attending support group meetings in NWH? I go every month to their support group meetings .. maybe I will meet you there in January (their meetings are the first Thursday of every month (usually)) ... I also started going to the support group meeting a few months prior to my surgery, so it helped me get lots of information, etc. in preparation before the surgery. And Jamie, the nutritionist who leads the support groups, is fabulous! Hope to see you there! When is your surgery scheduled for?

I am looking to get sleeved with Roslin's colleague Dr. Yatco. I was very pleased with my consultation. I have already had the psychological and seen the nutrionist. I am waiting for the letter from my PCP and I have an upper GI scheduled for this week, then off to the insurance company for approval. Hopefully Emblem Health/GHI will not give me a problem.

From what I have read, Dr. Yatco is a fine surgeon and I would not mind if I had him. I have GHI also. I will be meeting with the psych and nutritionist later this week. I had a sleep study done and have sleep apnea. I had blood work done and will be meeting Dr. Roslin in Northern Westchester on the 19th. I am not sure if Roslin or Yatco will be doing my surgery based upon insurance. I do know that the surgery has to be done at Lenox Hill to be covered. Roslin opened in Northern Westchester and I think Yatco may be affiliated there also. Let me know who you do. You seem to be moving along very quickly.

you will do great - anyone in Dr. Roslin's group will be a fabulous choice ... either NWH or Lennox Hill will be fabulous, of that I'm sure. Good luck and keep us all posted ...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
