Hi all,

I am so upset. I just found out today that I was denied the surgery. They said it was not medically necessary. I have a BMI of 39. If I'm not fat enough, that is truly pathetic. My surgeon's office is appealing the denial. Is that usually the course of action. I was thinking about writing a letter in addition to the surgeon's appeal. What does the surgeon's office do as far as appeals go? I need help. Please let me know what you all think I should do. I was scheduled for July 11th and now who knows when I'll get it done.

Oh you guys that is so cool! I spoke with Kelly and she seems SO on the ball. I have a tinge of regret for not pursuing their services -- but I just couldn't take the possible 3 months wait and then another denial.

Hey I have dengerative disk disease and haven't measured since getting this I measured tonight and found out I am 5'7 now instead of 5'9 like I have been putting for calculating my bmi no docs measured either so that is what I was baseing my bmi on please know one else make this mistake it can be a bad one with the insurance company
