Amount of food??

I am about 5 weeks post-op and I was wondering if I should be eating 1/4 cup of food or 1/2 cup for a meal. I made a pot of chili last week. I am pretty much cleared for anything but havent tried chicken yet. Is 1/2 cup chili or softer food too much??

It depends on what your doctor, and nutirionist recommend for you... On some days I was able to eat half a cup of cottage cheese or chili and at other times not. Eat slow and don't over do it and you should be ok but other then getting in your Protein there should be no reason to eat more. For me it was 3 - 3 oz meals for quite a while.

Ive been just trying to listen to my bodies signals. But sometimes I feel like I am not eating enough and then i have a couple more bites and I feel satisfied. I dont get hungry like used to but I know I need to eat b/c I feel my stomach kinda "rolling" and I feel empty.
