Approved in less than 24 hours! LOVE BCBS today!

Surgeon's office just called.......and I'm APPROVED! Took less than 24 hours!! They said that it almost ALWAYS takes the full two weeks to get the approvals! SO, they said that if we want we can try to do the surgery THIS MONDAY 2/28 instead of waiting until 3/28! So glad I started the pre-op diet in the off chance something like this happened!!

This just shows that the power of prayer works! I prayed yesterday before they sent the submission and again last night that the nurse would review it quickly b/c she has been out on vacation. I'm SO EXCITED!! :) Now to just try to get caught up on work and housework in time to actually have surgery on Monday! Yikes!

Approved cant wait they are mailing letter!!

how happy are you  My WLS is 2/6 (can't wait) since my primary ins. is medicare, there is some beurocracy that i have to deal with. After ins. goes to medicare, it will then go to EMPIRE - where i have been told, its about 99% sure that i will be approved.

Unfortunately, my paperwork can't be sent in until AFTER the surgery Thats how medicare works. So i won't have the "official" good word (hopefully) that i'm approved til about 6 weeks after surgery. If i'm not approved, which i don't think will happen - i can always do an objection, or whatever its called. My predermination has been approved.

Again,Raquel, congrats on your approval. Heres to having your happiness sent over my way :tongue2: kathy
