Today has been horrible. I am 6 days post op and I don't want Fluid or Protein. I have felt full and miserable all day. All I can have is liquids and protein... I have not had adequate fluid or protein today.

I was told from my doctor that revision sleevers lose slower but not less than virgin sleevers...trust me I understand I didn't even tell anyone because I was so afraid I wouldn't lose any weight...

Is that true? I pray that isn't the case for me. I have to do well with this. It's my second time around and thus weight has got to go NOW!

@ "bajanqueen70" thanks I needed to read that advice post right at this very moment. I have a love hate relationship for my sleeve right now. I ate too many slider foods didn't get full and kept eating and what do you know. I'm feeling miserable. I feel hungry all the time. I really need to get it together smh.

You are very welcome Mochax! Trust me...it works! Also eat smaller meals every 2-3 hours (2 or 3oz) that are Protein rich (like eggs, tuna, Protein Shakes etc) and you will find that they will really keep you satisfied...much success to you! Don't get discouraged...

Hubby is from Bim so the carb temptation is scaring me. He wants rice and bread with everything! I'm trying to get into the mindset now but man it's tough!

Hang in there CTDEE...those Bajan men! Lolol...I understand! Keep your eye on the prize!

Word of advice from a veteran sleever who fell off of the wagon since surgery almost two years ago...protein, Protein, protein and lots of water! I've been re-energized by doing this and feel like my sleeve is working for me again...I've cut down on carbs tremendously (most come from fruits), and I've focused on staying hydrated. For new sleevers, don't ever get discouraged! Follow your surgeon and nutritionist's instructions and the pounds will melt off. As you progress, stay away from slider foods (my downfall) and focus on protein first; it will keep you fuller longer. I haven't hit onederland yet, but I sure am looking forward to getting there. Just 21 pounds to go! Stay focused all! Keep your eyes on the prize and remember why you did all this! Good luck!

your almost there ! Thank you for those words of encouragement

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
