im so glad i found this forum, i know everyone is different but has anyone been sleeved and kept thier curvy figure? im 30 years old and very very very curvy i dont want to lose that please answer the best way that you can :)

JJ, everything fell back into place after I lost the bulk of my weight. I'm only 10 months out but am almost done losing. I will say that I definitely need my inner thighs done and would like to have a lower body lift at some point, but that's only to look better with clothing off. In my clothes my sags and bags are hidden very nicely in shape wear but I want to look good in a swim suit. What happens with you will definitely depend on how long you've been heavy and how heavy you are to begin with. You're 30 also so you have age on your side :)

I'm so glad that I start seeing more post about weight loss, the challenges and difficulties and success from Black/African Americans. Keep up the great work! I too may join "the challenge" that's on this thread soon:)

So tomorrow I go to my surgeon's office for my (belated) 3 month follow up (Not my fault, the man only sees patients on Tuesday afternoons). As of this morning I am at 244 lbs. Which means his scale will weigh me at 248 because it is a jerk. LOL. i plan on wearing the lightest clothing item I can find in my closet to counteract this.

I don't know what it is about the official weigh ins/office visits that turns me into some kind of paranoid freak. But on the bright side, I get to leave work early and can make it to the gym before the PM rush. :)

Don't stress over it! Stress adds weight. Relax and go in knowing you've done your absolute best with your food intake and your workout. As for the doctor's scales, they are pure evil. My doctor's scale reads 5lbs bigger than my scale. So, my next visit I want my scale to read 195 so his scale will read 200! lol

I'm not *too* stressed actually. I'm more stressed about whether or not I have any money left on my flexible spending card to pay for the $50 specialist copay! It's just funny, I always know that his scale is going to be 4lbs higher than mine. So I wanted to be in the low 240s so that his still registered me as being in the 240s. Ya know?! Being in the 240s for this visit is a personal goal of mine based on where I feel I should be progress-wise.

Also, I'm sure we all weigh in on our at home scales post morning poop when we are the lightest! My appointment is 4pm, post brekkie and lunch!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well. I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening. So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this?? Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
