coughing and pain 3 weeks out

So I am 3 weeks out and am getting a cold. Coughing and sneezing hurt my stomach near my large incision more now then the first 2 weeks after surgery. Is this normal? I'm a little bit of a hypochondiac so bear with me! Thanks!

Are you sure you're not just coughing and sneezing worse than you were earlier on? I had a cough and cold ~3 weeks out of surgery and I decided to accept a stall and just take lots of cough syrup and sweets. I decided a short term stall was worth it for me rather than damaging my new pouch by coughing any more than I had to.

I hope you feel better soon. rolleyes.gif

I was coughing pretty regularly early out. It helped clear my lungs of all the gunk. It hurt but seems now its a sharper pain. The sneezing is something that has only been happening for a few days. Cold medicine would help, I didn't want to take any though!

So long as it doesn't it doesn't conflict with any other meds I'd take the cold medicine... what's a stall compared to doing yourself an injury. I decided that it's better to be like the tortoise not the hare - well that's what I told myself anyway! laugh.gif
