Hi All, I am six weeks out and doing well. I don't feel hungry at all. When I sit down to eat I go from feeling nothing to feeling full sometimes overly so but not to the point where I get sick. My question is they say to eat until you are satisfied but if you don't get hungry and are eating because it is time what does satisfied mean? Some meals I get the full feeling a lot quicker then others which can be so confusing.

Nancy

It depends a lot on what you eat. If you are eating mostly dense Protein, you will feel full quicker and stay full longer. When you eat "slider" foods, you will notice that you can eat much more.

It takes a while to figure out how to tell when you have reached the point of being satisfied. Journaling what you eat can really help.

I'm only 2 weeks out, but I already am journaling in details. I'm also writing in any reactions or feelings I have after eating. felt overly full, felt uncomfortable, felt good, etc.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
