I've booked my date! Oct 19, 2010 Dr Rodriguez

To say I'm excited is an understatement! I'm finally getting this damn band out. I've only had it in for 8 months, but it has been no fun for me at all.

Thanks to everyone for all of your assistance as I researched and researched within these forums. I think I've read every single post on this site.

I'm feeling really good about my decision.

Anyone else having surgery at the same time?

Well congrats on your date and on getting your band out. The more I read about those bands the happier I am that I found out about the sleeve and went that route. Hope you have a great surgery!

Good luck with your surgery.

I'm also having lots of problems with my band and

think it will need to come out. I'm hoping to have

Gastric Plication with Dr. Rod in November.

Are you having surgery in Tijuana or Juarez?

Please keep us updated.

Good luck!

Thanks for good lucks! I'll take all I can get.

I am getting my surgery in TJ.

I'm not sure that if I would have learned about the sleeve first that I would have selected the sleeve over the band. I really liked the non-invasiveness of the band and the non-permanence. Looking back, I have no idea what I was thinking. Why wouldn't I want this to be permanent? And gosh, with the band, there is this annoying thing that you have to contend with every time you eat - ugh!

So glad to be moving forward toward my sleeve.
