Hey!

I too am a 30 something (BARELY). I just turned 39 -- can't believe THAT! I live in the Boston area and I have 4 kids under 7 including a set of 5 year old twins. I run a part time curriculum enhancement business for the preschool set and we have a 9 year old pug. I have been married 8 years to the best guy ever. I've known him since he was 3 years old-- actually, I used to baby sit him. Yes, I know that sounds dirty, but it's not! So glad I got the band, and in just 4 short pounds I will be at my pre-kid weight! Go thirties1 Go thirties!

Hi!

I am 36 and Rick Springflied and most members of Duran Duran were all I lived for in the 80's! Oh and Merry Go Round for my "new wave/punk girl clothes" - thought I was so cool!

I own a pr company where we specialize in events, product launches, nonprofits, etc.

I plan on not working much after I get banded in early July. I want to make my new job working our and eating right.

I do not have any children yet, but plan on trying to get pregnant sometime next year.

I am currently cleaning out my closets and donating all of my clothes. I have been collecting a few catalogues of skinny girl clothes to use for motivation. I cannot tell you how behind the times I felt when I saw all the fabulous clothes available!

I look forward to corresponding more with y'all in the next few months!

Hi, I am 31 years old and single. I will be banded on 8/8/06. It is just time I take control of my life. After trying every thing I could think of, surgery is my last option.

My date was so close to approval that I only had one night before pre-diet. I wanted pizza hut, but it was so crowded, so I got a calzone from a local pizzaria! Not too exciting, but the best I could do on short notice.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
