Many factors play into that decision... since you are going insurance it will likely be who your insurance chooses as your surgeon and how many days the insurances agrees with the surgeon about keeping you. That is how it went down for me when I was banded, and it got paid through insurance. I only stayed the night and was discharged early the next morning.

Now I'm doing self-pay and I'm staying in the hospital for four days and three nights.

3 nights. Seemed pretty good.
