Did anyone miss a couple of periods?

I had surgery on March 3 and started my period the day after. I had the normal 3 day deal then nothing. We are now in June and still no period. I was so freaking out because it has been like 3 months. I took a pregnancy test and thank god it was negative! Has anyone else experienced this? My friends say it is because I have lost weight. If I had know that 34 lbs would get rid of my period, hell I'd have done this a long time ago!

I am curious if anyone else has experienced this!

KJ

I've heard it's very common. It took me 4 months after surgery to get back on track. I don't think you need to worry. :girl_hug:

Hormones are stored in fat cells. You might notice all kinds of odd things happening while those stored hormones are released into your body. Emotional and physical manifestations are quite common.

Hey Karen ~ If your pregnant, can I have your Daytona tickets? :heh: Sorry, just couldn't resist. Now for the sensitive side....I do hope your not pregnant since they want you to wait 1-2 yrs. Make a call to your doc b/c you may need something to help balance your hormones.

No but on the other hand I now get PMT symptoms for the first time since before I had babies. Sore boobs particularly. Go figure, generally I've found I only get symptoms like that if I've been eating really badly and not looking after myself, but every months since surgery Iv'e been unable to lie on my tummy for a week prior.

Anesthesia really changes things....texture of hair, skin, hormones as well!!! I actually now have mine regularly which before the weight loss I wouldn't have for months...then would bleed for over a month!?!!?!? :girl_hug: I have now had my period regularly since March?!!? Go figure!!!! In my humble opinion....get it checked out to give you peace of mind.....
