new to site and week #2 from surgery

Hi I had surgery June 1st 2010 and I was really scared at first NOT KNOWNING is the scary part but so far I have losted 30 pounds which I am shocked...Having the surgery was hard its the after surgery making sure you do the right things and drinking all your water everyday. It been a alittle hard for me because I have 2 ruptured disc in my lower back which I had my own cleaning business for 12 years and it was just got to me by doing so many house per day...I gain the weight within 2 years due to having to give up my business not working out and epuridual shots in my back.I would truly recommend this surgery to someone who has tried anything and everything.

Good Luck to all of you :biggrin0:

Congrats!!! I have herniated discs too, 3 in my upper back and 2 in my lower :drool5: It is no fun!!! It has really prevented me from working out too! But post-op I've been pushing through the pain as much as I can, and I can already feel the 32 lbs I've lost has begun to make a difference in my back pain. How about yours?? I hope we both can get back to feeling good without so much back pain. Wishing you all the best!!
