70% of my stomach is gone! - Update on BandMomsRock

This is Terri's husband, Alan, reporting on her behalf. We arrived at the hospital at 7am this morning. By the time all the prepping, etc., was done, she went into surgery around 9:30am. (The worse part of the pre-op was getting the IV in! First nurse had a little trouble and left a bruise. Second nurse had no problems.)

Her surgery went very well. A nurse called me on my cell phone at different times during the surgery to let me know how Terri was doing. Afterwards, the doctor spoke with me and said that everything went fine and that there were no problems. We got settled into a recovery room around 1pm. It's currently 3pm and she's groggy and on pain meds but doing fine.

Terri asked me to thank you all for your support and prayers. And everyone scoot over on the loser's bench!

Alan, thank you for Terri's update. We are all very happy for her. Having recently gone through the procedure, I understand what she is feeling. Her first thought will probably be , "What the hell have I done?" That will pass quickly. She and I chat often in the evenings, so tell her the Jerry will be the first one to move over on the losers bench. Continued best wishes.

Congrats, and welcome to the bench. I agree with Jerry, the first few days for me have been up and down about "what have I done?!?!?". Today is day 6 and I think I may have turned the corner on that. Keep reminding her that every day is a little better.

And me... I'll scoot now too!!

So good to hear shes doing ok....every day she'll feel a little bit better.... watch out for the rainbow from the IV as well!!

Thanks for update Alan

Kathy
