Well I finally got the blood work up done and the Edoscopy. I could feel it this time and it wasn't all that fun. Oh well it is over and I am NOT going to get anything else done. If it hurts it hurts. Maybe it is just healing. I don't know what is next but I hope nothing this week. I am tired. My hubby is off tomorrow and I don't want to do anything with the doctors tomorrow.

Come on people and join the BIngo game!!! It will be fun. I will make a ticker thing later but for now I am going to relax and enjoy the ballgame and my hubby.

Well I had my 2 week checkup today and I have lost 4 lbs (I didn't know b/c I don't weigh at home). I thought I had lost more, but the nurse said 2 lbs a week is perfect. I was just eating SOOO much before the band (trying to cram it all in I guess) and now I am probably taking in 1/4 of the calories I was, so I thought I would have dropped some water weight quickly (or something!) My doc HATES weighing - he says we should only go by how our clothes feel. But I haven't been weight lifting or anything so I know its not muscle weight gained or anything. Anyway, if these 4 lbs never come back ever again and this is the last time I see those numbers on the scale I will be happy! I have my 1st fill in 4 weeks so we'll see! Anyway, anyone else feel this way? My doc says my body may need more calories to lose weight (the starving body theory). Who knows? I will just keep on what I'm doing and now I can add exercise so that should help~

Hope everyone is well!

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yeaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 21 of liquid diet. VERY hungry at times, but just work hard toward bedtime. I have lost 25 pounds in that 3 weeks. Only 9 more days of this fast then I can eat real food.

Must report that I have had very little pain, and my clothes are lose and I feel absolutely wonderful.

Looking forward to food however and nervous about my first fill.

Congratulation Paula.... Job well done. I can not believe we both have been 3 weeks out. I can say that I feel like I have no restrictions what so ever but I know when I have ate to much because I feel like crap and I feel like I have a beach ball in my stomach. I don't know maybe that is restriction???? I am so new to this I do not know but I have had no PB and no vomiting thank god.

I also have lost 25 pounds and right now seeing I am on solid foods I am at a stand still with 25 but I know it will come off I must start exercising but waiting for the ok from the doc on sept 5th.

keep up the good work my fellow bander.

I dont have much restriction either but i just try to really limit my portions all the time i dont want to strech anything. Im thinking after we have our first fill it will change

I am absolutely prepared to go to a standstill as soon as I start eating. So ya, we will need to get our bodies moving. That is what is nice about this liquid stage, if there is ANY good stage. The fact that the weight is just falling off. Anway, congrats on your first 25 and keep up the good work.

Just an update! went to my primary dr.'s today cuz my surgeon's office didn't call me back until i was sitting on the table at my dr's office. i have an infection in one of my incisions and the dr put me on antibiotics. i hope to get an appt with the surgeon next week! i also wanted to say i finally weighed myself and according to my primary doc's scale i've lost 19 lbs! we'll see what the hospitals scale says since that'sthe one i got my staring weight from. 1 1/2 more weeks until my first follow up and then no more liquids! yahoooo!

crying smilie ---with 12 days of liquids to go i'm looking for the smilie lying across a stove, weeping convulsively! like me. lol!

lol! Is there a crying and STARVING smilie, laying across the kitchen table DROOLING at the family meals smilie.....:heh:

I have a problem determining between feeling hungry and feeling full. I don't think I have felt either one since by surgery. I eat because I need something even though I am not hungry and then I don't know when to stop because I don't ever feel full. Am I just weird?:Banane27:

Baylor Mom - I wouldn't say you're "weird"...everyone is different. I definitely feel hunger and although I do feel full, I know that once I get my restriction next week that could change. I pretty much wait until my stomach is growling before I go eat anything and even though I don't have a fill yet, I'm trying to eat as if I do so as not to stretch my pouch. My friend who has had gastric said to think of it this way - try and think of it as eating until you are satisfied, not until you are full. There is a difference. That made a lot of sense to me.

PaulaX - I can't believe you have to be on liquids for so long post-op. I know every doctor is different, but it just seems like such a long time. I give you applause and kudos for sticking with it!

Hi Julysters! Well Im down another pound today :Banane27: ! Ate my first bite of chicken yesterday in the form of chicken spread. It was divine. And then last night had Taco salad with no chips, basically just the toppings - delicious. I love this band! Its so weird because I thought for sure Id be up at least 1/2 a pound because I felt like I ate as much as I wanted and not really 'diet' food. Low and behold the weight is gone FOREVER. I hope lol. Im still not that sure of myself and my new tool.

Honestly, I don't know how I have done it. The past 2 years, I have not been able to stick to any kind of program for longer than one day. I guess there is a bit of fear in not following my doctor's plan and a bit of pride, I have a dear close friend who did it for 38 days!!!!!!!!!!! I am not even going to try that.

Whatever is driving me, perhaps my band, I am eternally greatful for it.

I started walking today and feel fine, despite my surgery one week ago, so I can do that daily now. I will walk more when I start taking in more calories.

dropped below 255, but I am not supossed to weigh for another week.
