I will be banded on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 with Dr. Cirangle in San Francisco, CA. It will be a 5 hour trip from my home in Oregon but worth it since he is a good surgeon and handles higher BMI and higher weight patients. I am nervous and excited all at the same time.

Thanks Time to love me! Lovni' you for taking that on - I have been busy lately and didn't have a chance to do it. :clap2:

No problem Fishy!!! :biggrin1: Our month for surgery is finally approaching at a faster rate! Can't wait to hear about all your experience's. I'm at the end of the month, so I'll have lots of knowledge to take in from you all.

HERE WE COME, :)

My surgery is July 5th with Dr. Singh in Baltimore at St.Agnes Hospital.

I don't have a pre-op diet-- just no solid foods after 8pm the night before and liquids until 12 midnight that night. Then afterwards, I have a 2 week liquid diet, 2 week mushies, and 2 weeks semi hard food...

Funny, I have the same as you. No pre-op diet and the same plan as you for aftercare. From what some say, we must consider ourselves lucky. :clap2:

haha i know what you mean... i think we are lucky... we get to have the liquid diet when we are doped up on medication and don't feel like eating... so we are thinking less about food and our stomach is already smaller so it takes less to fill. My mom hasn't complained one bit yet about the liquids (but its only been since monday) so hopefully it won't be too bad. I like the protein shakes anyway!

One week from tomorrow and I'll be in Mexico. Definitely starting to get really nervous. Aside from a few white knuckling moments the pre op is fine now. I think after a few days you really do get used to it. I'm sooooo excited but the butterflies are swirling.

My best friend, Almostready76 is getting it done the same day as me. We get to go together and it will sure be nice to have someone there.

The list is long of people that are going in July...which will make it great down the road for feedback and encouragement.

Good luck to anyone that is going in the next few days.

giggle3474, dsh0917, pugchick It's your time!!!! I'm not quite sure if any of you are heading for Mexico for surgery, but if you are BEST OF LUCK!! Be safe and have a speedy recovery. I'd be hopping on the plane for a long weekend!!!

Let us know when you get back and once again, good luck! :clap2: :) :grouphug:

Leona, I'm glad to hear your Mom is having no issues! That is very reassuring for me.

Time 2 live - I'd be getting anxiety too! You'll be okay... be excited, your life will change and it will be "TIME 2 LIVE"
