Does anyone do Water aerobics? How do you feel this is working for y'all? I'm wanting to start this next week, because I'm still on the heavy side and don't think my knees will like ordinary aerobics. . . let me know!:confused1:

I've done it in the past and had a really good time and actually worked up a sweat in the Water. I tried it again about a month after getting the sleeve and was super excited about doing it again only to discover a lot of people didn't take it seriously and talked throughout the entire class. Some had their backs to the instructor and it was very crowded so if they weren't paying attention and did the wrong movement it kind of was hard to do it yourself. I'd say try it and if the class is good, it's a great way to exercise without the stresses to your body that land exercise has. Good luck and let us know how you like it!

Yeah I go to the YMCA and do this class and it seems like a good starter thing for me just to remind me how to move my body. We do some stretching, a lot of leg exercises. My class is an hour. But I think it is something I wouldn't do for a long long time - maybe a month or two because it doesn't seem like quite enough exercise. I think I'll quickly progress to a lap swim class. I know that is tremendous exercise I just don't feel up to it quite yet.

I go to the pool a lot and started with the classes and learned which exercises worked for me. Some instructors are better than others and you can actually do your own thing if you want to spot exercise. It feels so good and I push for a half hour and then go to the treadmill or bicycle for another half hour. Seems the more weight I lose the more my back and neck need attention and the pool execises seem to strengthen my core muscles. Works for me.

I ordered a DVD from Amazon.com to learn some of the Water aerobic exercised. My pool is finally finished being repaired and I'm about to go and get in it right now!

I have bad lower back problems so I figure this is a good way to start that would be low impact on my back.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
