...slip a piece of chocolate INSIDE the marshmallow before roasting it and skip the graham if you want -- we call it marshmallow surprise...quote]

My DH can't eat wheat. That's how we make do so he can sort'a have s'mores. Humph! I thought it was my own idea.

It's said like coo-men. So the real question is, if DH ever tells you he's "coo men" - wtf do you do?

I can't stand marshmallows - raw, cooked or otherwise. And I'm not big on chocolate unless it's paired with Peanut Butter. Probably no surprise I've never had a smore. :(

If you put a peep in the microwave, you'll get like a six foot peep.

cumin is more or less pronounced as come in, but stressed on the first syllable. Pronunciation: KUH-min, some easterners have been known to pronounce it at KOO-min

The pronunciation for cumin that’s most prevalent in this country, and the one recognized by the American Spice Trade Association, is "kuhmin," not "kewmin" as is sometimes heard.

How crazy is this - I'm just nerdy enough to look it up on the dictionary and both pronunciations are right. I wonder if it's a north/south thing.

maybe a pohtaytoe pahtaytoe thing. Wasn't there a link thread for a "how southern are you?" for a web quiz? That had all different types of pronunciations. I have heard both cumins too, but I was nerdy too and went to the American Spice Trade Association for what they recognize it as. Who knew there was that association anyways?

There is a thread on here that just greeted me this morning and made me fume. It wasn't caused just by the person who posted the vicious attack but by the moderator who allowed the post to remain there and not delete it. Just locking it is not a sufficient remedy. A thread that so blatantly attacks a person as the "I'm Guilty" thread should have been deleted.

I personally am very proud to call PhotoNut my friend. She has been a great encouragement to me along with a lot of other people on here. She has always been here for me, and it hurt to see her attacked in what I considered a vile way by someone I have no respect for after reading this.

How low is this thing going to sink? You know Alexandra, the thread should have been deleted. You are allowing Susan to read this and not be able to respond. You know it will hurt her horribly. What if someone posted something cruel to a moderator...would you let it stand. Now if Susan trys to defend herself in another thread you will get on her case and lock it.

Alexandra, a good moderator would delete the "I'm Guilty" thread immediately and not just lock it. I would like to hear others opinions on this, or am I going to find this thread locked to responses to?

I'm furious with this person who attacked PhotoNut. She should be ashamed of herself.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
