Protein Powders at... Whole Foods

Ok all. So I've been trying out Proteins, trying to find something to keep me satisfied... discovered at the bigger Whole Foods store here that they have a MASSIVE Protein powder section. Everything from regular stuff to Vegan stuff to Hemp proteins, etc. And, I found they have the Jay Robb protein many of you have mentioned on here, and they were in SAMPLE sizes. YA! Got chocolate and vanilla. Will try tomorrow and let you know how they go...

Thought those who are looking for "sample sizes" to try a bunch of different proteins might be interested... Oh, and they do have a decent whey Protein that is their Whole Foods brand, not too expensive.

I tried the Jay Robb Egg White sample size from whole food. I don't see anyone talking about those, but they're great. They do not taste bad at all. Have you tried them and are they ok with the doctors? That's the big question. I haven't had surgery yet, I'm schedule for the seminar next month. I guess I'll find out then! I hope it will be fine because if so, I'll be fine!

Hi,

I would say, don't stock up on too much for post-op. Your tastes may really change. When I went to full liquids, I had violent runs for 5 days until I figured out that it was the Whey Protein doing it to me.

I tried the Jarrow brand Rice Protein Powder from Whole Foods this week. It was vile and I was so happy they let me return it yesterday.

I like Jay Robb but haven't tried the egg white protein as I'm allergic to eggs.

Vitalady.com is from Obesityhelp website. You can go to her website and buy individual sample sizes of lots of different protein powders.

thanks for the web site...everyone says that our tastes change post op....i wonder why!! how interesting!

I don't know why they change so much. Sweet things taste so much sweeter. After drinking a protein shake (like I just did), I have this sticky sweet taste in my mouth for hours. YUCK.

I can't wait...I just looked at when you were sleeved. You've done amazing! Congrats!
