My husband is scheduled for VSG tomorrow and is wondering about issues with headaches. Currently if he goes for extended periods without food, he gets a severe headache, he is wondering if this will still be an issue after the surgery. Also he is wondering will he be able to get enough food in to prevent the headaches, if they will be an issue.

Why does he get headaches? Is it like hypoglycemia? This concern should be addressed with his surgeon, and hopefully the surgeon will have suggestions on how to help prevent the headaches.

Hopefully, he'll be able to get in some calories from Protein supplements mixed with Water.
