Did anyone have to take this the day before your surgery? I took a whole bottle at noon as directed, and was told to take another one 4-6 hours later if my stools weren't clear. It tastes AWFUL, and I have had nothing else but Water today.

Did everyone have to use this, or can I just stop since I have done it once. Will it affect the outcome of my surgery or recovery?

I just don't know if I can stomach another entire bottle of this stuff!

Any advice would be great.

I was only allowed clear liquids for the 24 hours before surgery. I didn't have to take magnesium citrate or anything else.

I had a light Breakfast the day before surgery, eggs, toast & juice. nothing but Clear liquids afterwards. The day off surgery I had nothing all day. I went to surgery and everything went great, no problems.

I think the reason for this is...most people have a "last supper" of anything they want. SO the Doctor is making sure all that food is gone, because the anesthesia will make you vomit during surgery if you have anything in your stomach. I appareantly had nothing in mind. I had no nausea at all.
