So...I'm okay, how are you?

I saw my DS surgeon today. Initial conversation:

Dr: "How are you doing?"

Me: I'm so cute! (laugh) You have created a monster!

Dr: That's HIS problem! (gesturing toward my husband)

Me: And I have Body Dysmorphic Disorder, but backwards. Most patients still think of themselves as fat. I feel so good that when we pass by a mirror, I wonder who the fat chick is who's holding hands with my husband!!

I need to add one Vitamin tablet (Dry ADEK's.) I asked if I needed additional Protein. I was told that almost EVERYONE--wls or not--needs more protein. (And I'm trying a new product as soon as its delivered.) My ferritin stores are fairly low, but as I have been post-menopausal for almost thirty years, he doesn't see that as a problem, so he doesn't recommend Iron at this time. I'm to return in six months.

On his high-rent-district scales, I weigh 75 pounds less than I did a week pre-op. But I had just been unfilled, so we KNOW what kind of a Last Supper week that was.

That was MY day...how are y'all doin'?

WOW!!!

Sue you look fabulous. What a difference, you should be proud girlfriend!. I am happy to hear your visit to the Dr. went well. How is your back feeling?

Hey...my primary contributions to this have been having a hubby with decent insurance and not giving up. The rest was just just to stop being parayzed by fear and, after a couple of years, to move on.

But YOU are flying solo and still losing, so YOU have something to be proud about!!!

Back is fine, but I'm still on steroids. I hope that result lasts when I stop taking them!!! (I mean I was UNABLE to get up off the toilet...NOT a good place to be stuck.)

I had a stalker that followed me to florida when i moved there for college. I know how scary it can be sue. He made the one mistake not checking things out before just walking up to the door and knocking on it. I was there living with my boyfriend and our male roommate. Both around 250 pounds of solid muscle. hehehehe but my stalker resorted to just lots of calls and following me around for approx 2 years after moving to florida. he was my ex boyfriend that was extremely abusive and dangerous. it all finally ended when we got a call from a police officer that we reported the incidents to on a regular basis. this idiot pulled a gun on the cops when they came to give him his new restraining order. so we don't have to worry about him stalking me anymore. sue....from one stalked girl to another...i do not wish him dead, but i wish you peace in this soon so you do not need to have that constant worry any longer.

LOL about the resolution, Amy. (MY moron HAS his own badge and gun...and he's old now. I don't think he'll show up anywhere I am...I hope. But I refuse to let him do what he says he wants to do, which is to see me and to talk to me.)

Anyway, I have a funny story that your reminded me of. Our daughter is involved with the entertainment industry. She wrapped on one BIG film and got hired on another by one of the two co-producers...but the OTHER co-producer had promised her job to a nephew. He was abusive and finally gave her a pink slip and couple of weeks' pay as the Christmas party was starting. She was shattered.

Two years later, she runs into someone from that film. "You didn't HEAR?" she was asked. Seems the nasty co-producer was driving like he owned the world and when some other driver did not defer to his supremacy, he got pissed and started waving a .45 automatic at the guy. The guy who was in the other car held up HIS .45 automatic...and a badge. As in, "I'll see your weapon, and raise you a legal reason to have it...your move, a$$hole."

The nasty co-producer got to go to jail that night.

Now when our daughter thinks back to that film, she always radiates a smile.

My gosh, Sue. I could slap you! All this time I've been envisioning someone so much larger than your pre-op weight, and now your body looks like a normie! Okay, where do I sign up for one of them fancy bypass operations? And as far as poop smelling, mine hasn't been the same since pre-band but I use a "sexual Febreeze" called Between the Sheets (yes, Slumber product) that's made with talc and absorbs odors and leave the room smelling like Pear Blossoms.

I'm waiting for one of two things to happen:

1) I'll win battles with my two insurance companies and they'll eventually pay my stacks of bills from my countless band-related complication surgeries

OR

2) What's that bankruptcy attorney's number?

Hopefully I can start bypass proceedings and avoid bankruptcy proceedings! Sue, thank you for being here. WE NEED YOU!

Lisa, my pre-op BMI was right about 48-49 both times--although it had been higher. Right now, it's JUST UNDER 35.

But I look for-shit in a do-rag, so I'm jealous of you.

My guy has an office on Green Valley Parkway...lemme know when you get rich!!

Sue, you look great!!

My mom has always said that anyone who does something nasty, gets their payback (karma, whatever), it's just a matter of whether or not you are there to see it or hear about it. It's great that your daughter got to hear the story about that nasty producer!

Holy Crap! Sue, you're wearing LEOPARD print! Does it get any better than that??? lol

And you're looking great - what I can see of you, anyway... hehe

xxoo

:clap2: woooooohoooooo sue looking good:clap2: ...I need to take a pic..will soon..i lost 52 lbs and down tons of inches,,wish my legs would follow the rest..lol....started at 303 down to 251,,good luck to you and everyone...georgia

Oooh... you're looking skinny :girl_hug:

Have you tried Profect for your Protein??? Little test-tube thingies that have 25 grams of protein in only 3 oz. No idea how they taste, but as I hate all Protein drinks, one I could get down in a few swallows would work for me.

www.profect.com

I've got a 24-pack right here! They cost a fortune...but. I got them because I'm trying to get SOME protein into a mother who thinks a Healthy Choice Beef Tips and Portobello Mushroom meal (280 calories) should be split between lunch and dinner.

I UNDERSTAND that she is not going to live forever, really I do. I just want her to be as healthy as she can be and then surprise all of us by "waking up dead" some morning.

She's been on a waiting list for a very nice Assisted Living place, but--good news/bad news--everyone there is HAPPY there and no one there is dying there...SO...there are no openings.

My sister visited here and took her a Protica Profect this morning. I'll take another tomorrow.
