Hello, I just found this Forum on the Sleeve Talk website and was wondering if there were any fellow Canadians out there. I am waiting for my first appointment Nov 16th in Victoria with Dr Amson. I want to have the VSG and hopefully asap. The wait is about three years, from what I've been told, and unless I can find 15,000 dollars somewhere I'll be waiting it out LoL. Any one living in Toronto know of or can recommend a good non-judgemental doctor that can provide post op follow up care without constantly judging me? I have a family doctor already but she's pretty judgemental and so decided not to tell her about going to Mexico, but I would still like the follow up care.

Well I actually started my pre-op diet early trying to jump start weight loss. Started 3 days ago having a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch and then a light dinner. Surgery is on the 27th and I'm down 10 lbs but holy crap I'm hungry! Lol

When I had a lapband pre-op I could not ewat anything, just protein shake for 2 weeks. I was told first 3-4 days is the hardest.

I have to be on nothing but Protein shakes 2 weeks prior as well, so I have until the 12th to enjoy my light meal at dinner lol

Flying to San Diego tmrw, surgery in TJ on Friday. Good luck to anyone else getting sleeved on Friday!!
