15 days and counting in the hospital ????

I had a CT Scan, so I did that last night and a stomach surgeon came in to talk to me about a stent. He will have to put be under, but I do not have surgery. Then they say we go through a series of exams and then when I start, to eat we can see from there. Has anyone heard off this?

I haven't ever heard of anything like that at all. I really hope you get good news soon.

LapSF uses stents to fix leaks. Or they did back when they had a few. (They haven't had any in a while with the sleeve.)

Wow. Have you asked your Dr. point blank if you have a leak? I am sorry if I missed some of this story. Two weeks is a long time. I can't imagine what you are going through.

I think by day 15 I was ready for the rubber room! You sound very good and I hope you do not have a leak or that this fixes it!

MacMadamme: yes they are going place a stent on Friday in hopes of fixing the leak, do you know if this has been successful for long term, do people live normal lives as Virgins VSG's do once they pull it out? I am so excited to have some kind of solution to the problem. I should be home, mid-end next week. I can not wait to see my kids!

I don't have personal experience with it, but my understanding is that they put in the stent and then take it out when you are healed. Once you are healed, you are healed... it can take a while though.
