Also, there is no reason we can't start more threads.. Like one for 150+ and one for 200+.

I think the issues of people with around 100 to lose are different than those in the 150-200 range. I know on the OH VSG board, the 150+ people started their own group because they couldn't relate to some of the stuff the 100 and under group were going through.

Wow, that is amazing. . . only 50lbs to go. . . after that great big hurdle (100lbs) 50 seems like such a small amount. . . it's tough, but you'll do it, you have the tool and you DEFINATELY know how to do it. . . don't give up. . my daughter is in college studying to be a Respiratory Therapist and she studys like crazy sometimes til 3:30 in the morning only to get up and go to class for 9am. . .she says she wants to be on the Deans List and with all that studying her lowest mark is 86. . she says "its so hard mom, I feel like I'm in prison" I tell her to take a break, she says "no I can't I have to keep going, I have a goal, I want to be the best, I want the best". . . good luck chancie my friend!

Hello everyone...I had met with my family doctor the day before and set my goal weight at 140lbs...WOW...all I could think about was "how am I ever going to reach that????" That would mean a weight loss of 145lbs....I started doing the math in my head...still wondering...since the pre-opt diet and my sleeve (which was 8days ago)..I have lost 18lbs...perhaps it is possible....through a lot of sweat..blood...and tears...now I wonder how long will it take...is it possible that this time next year I will be close to the goal of 140lbs???? the possiblities....*sigh*

I know Jenn, I have 165 lbs to lose, and I haven't even started yet! I'm still waiting for surgery. . . but to me that sounds absolutely unattainable. . . but you know what, I did lose 100 lbs a long time ago on phentermine (never again) and it went so quickly, I just did it in 10 lb increments. . . when you look at it in little goals like 10lbs, you'd be amazed how fast that goes, cause if you plan 10 lbs each month x 10 months that is 100 lbs! Less then a year. . . . so that is attainable. . . good luck you will reach your goal!

I had 120lbs to lose to be at my first goal. I'm a mere 18lbs away, so Jenn and Thinoneday, it can be done.

I never thought I'd get here so quickly. I definitely didn't expect to even lose half of it the first 6 months. But, here I am 5.5 months out, down 95 post band to sleeve revision. I only technically lost 7 lbs with the band that I had placed October 2008.

Just trust in yourself, enjoy the honeymoon phase because I know mine is almost over, I am down to losing just 1-2lbs were week. And, remember that you can and will make it to goal.

I had my sleeve on February 25. I have lost 36 pounds- 8 were preop. I have 104 to go to reach my modest goal. May want to do more at that point. this has been easier than I thought, but it still seems like a dream and I expect the weight loss to just stop even if I am doing the right things. Just hard to wrap your mind around when you have tried and succeeded before, only to gain back. The sleeve however gives me hope that I have never had before. I enjoy reading the forums very much. Thank you all for your support and kindness. B

Lost...

You don't have a "ticker" or beginning weights or anything for me to be able to help...

I was sleeved Feb. 9th 2009...

16 months out... and from my heighest weight of 373.. I am down 201 pounds!

But... my surgery weight was 354 so am down 181 pounds........... either way you look at.....

ITS ALL GOOD!!!

I lost 100 pounds in 4 months.. and have been this weight of 173 for several months....... I lost track. but am not fretting it...... I havn't made goal.. but am very comfortable where I am. I'm very big boned and tall.....and if I lose the 20 pounds.... great! But if I don't..... I will be ok. as long as I don't gain.

I have not exercised like I should..... and have cheated alot with "slider foods" and a new found weakness.................. CHOCOLATE! Shame on me!!!

I'm going thru some "transfer addictions" right now.. and trying to get straight again.. and focused... but its all work... it's not a cure all this surgery!

Stay focused. follow the rules. and you will be ok.

Got any questions. just let me know. I can be brutally honest tho.. so beware LOL!!!

Hang in there girl!! You're doing GREAT!!!

I am in the 100+ club. I am 7 months out from being sleeved on 12-8-09. The day that has changed my life hopefully for the rest of my life!!

It has been up and down's along on this journey that I have been on. I have gone weeks without any weight loss and then wake up one morning and will be down again 3-4 #. This damn sleeve is just amazing!!

I have not been exercing like I should've been. It began in March when baseball season started. Then we started a garden during baseball season and then when that was done all of the fresh vegatables started coming in so just about every night since then we have been canning or freezing something. I want in my heart to get back to the gym but just don't have the time to do it for myself. I have 3 boys that keep me very busy when I am home. They are 15,10 and 7. I work 9-5 everyday and there are days I don't feel like doing anything but coming home to spend time with my family. I know poor pittifull me. I should go by the gym and do at least 30min. I know what I should be doing but it isn't happening yet. Well anyway congrats to everyone on here that has lost over 100#. That is such an awesome feeling to loose that much weight in such a small amount of time.. Good luck to everyone!!

Congratulations....you look wonderful in your little picture....it sounds like you are getting plenty of exercise with your sons....I miss those days of the sport practices...maybe just park further away at the store or work...instead of thinking of a half hours...break it down into 3 segments of walking....when at practice don't watch but walk around...you are doing beautifully. All the best to you.

I have lost the first 100 lbs and now working on another 60 0r 80. I am exercising for at least 1 hour a day on weight lifting and cardio. the loose skin is really sagging and i hope to tone up some, but if not I will have plastic surgery done in about a year or two.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
