I don't eat anything 3 hours before I go to bed. And I always have a small glass of Water before retiring to flush my pouch out. Even without a band, it's not a good idea to eat and go straight to bed. A doctor once told me hat is what sumo wrestlers do, to gain fat. They sleep a lot, and pork out just before they sleep so it all converts to fat. Not sure if that's really accurate, but it stuck with me, lol!

If I eat too close to bedtime, it usually results in something unwanted such as reflux, or night coughs...even regurgitated in my sleep once...very scary!

But it is different from person to person...some say there food goes straight through their band....in my case I KNOW the food remains there....i drank Water too fast once 1 hr after eating and some food came back up....

So I also have made it a rule not to eat 3 hours prior, at least....

But again, there are no hard fast rules IMO, maybe for beginners, but eventually each individual needs to get to know their band intimatley to know their limitations in all things....

Personally, I wouldn't eat before I go to bed. Refrain with eating with your hubs. You just opening a door you don't want to open again.

It depends for me. I try to eat my last meal before six. Last night I actually ate a sausage after 8 and went to sleep by 9. This morning I was swollen with Fluid. Don't think it hurt my band any.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
