Looking For A Fill Dr. In Houston Area

Looking for someone who does fills in the Houston area that will accept UHC... I Had an appointment to see him tomorrow, but a nurse called and said it will cost $100 for a fill? Now I don't know what the going rate is but this sounds expensive to me especially since I have been paying $10 a fill. Any info will help.

Chris, I'm in the same boat as you. I have UHC, but Spiegel is no longer in network, so for out of network, ins only pays 80% and I have to pay 20%, instead of the $20 copay.

Does anyone know if there is another fill dr who takes other dr's patients and who have UHC insurance?

$100 is cheap.

I live in Houston. I used to go to Dallas and pay $350 for fills then those docs stopped accepting the patients of Mexican docs.

Now I go back to Acuna, Mexico and get my band doc to fill me for $50. The whole weekend trip always costs less than $300.

Good luck!
