Check it!! I can do 28 min running on the treadmill!

How are we doing, group? Let's not lose contact, please!

This weekend I'm going to sign up for some 5Ks this spring and summer. I will RUN them. I can't believe it! This WLS has given me wings!! I haven't lost very much lately, but I'm still trying. I need another fill because I'm hungry, and I went through a "I love sliders" phase that is over now! Good riddance. Back to the program!

Actually married life is awesome!! However, I have had some personal set-backs with my family and the stress is a trigger for eating poorly. I have gained 3 lbs this week. I have a younger sister who has been fighting an incurable disease called Strerg Strause (sp?) Syndrome and now we found out she has a tumor in her lung that has doubled in size in the past 30 days. She is being tested for lung cancer as we speak...

Then my daughter and granddaughter had to come live with us so that was unexpected....

Then my youngest son and his girlfriend who are not working and living in their car (long story) just blew the engine in their car and now they are parked in front of my house with no place to go!!

If my new husband doesn't leave me now...he never will....lol

I haven't been doing well with my weight loss since all this started and almost quit walking altogether. Only got in 1 day last week. Going to try today to get back on the walking wagon and I have a fill appt scheduled for Thursday but I honestly don't know how to handle emotional eating...

I was able to have 1cc put back in my band a couple of weeks ago. I spent the next week eating soft food, but now I can eat just about anything. I am sticking with healthy options 99% of the time. I did have a few Peanut Butter cups the other day. I have also discovered that mixing a large box of sf vanilla pudding, 2 cups 1% milk, 1/2 cup peanut butter, and a teaspoon of vanilla will give you a candy like treat. It is my new go to treat for cravings. You can also mix some sf cool whip to make the pudding last longer and be lighter with few additional calories. Navy Beans are also my favorite source of Protein for a quick lunch. I make a large pot every week so I am not tempted to eat high calorie foods when I am at the school observing for class.

I have also been exercising more I have walked a few 5k's and my time is about 40 minutes if people stay out of my way lol. I am also trying to start walking at least 3 miles a day. I have found that this is great to unwind/take a break from homework. I take a break and walk a mile up and down my road. It has a small hill so it has added resistance. I have lost 2 of the 5 pounds I gained after having the 1.5cc's taken out of my band in Feb.

having a really bad month. the last 2 weeks have been tough personally and I found I just gave up on everything! Quit exercising, tracking food, drinking enough Water, taking Vitamins (ran out). Too much to stress over and I reverted back to running for the Snacks and TV to lose myself. Gained 5 lbs in 8 days!!

Went to the doctor today for a fill (.3 cc). I am officially at 10cc now! Part of my frustration is that in 6 months I have followed the rules and only lost 20 lbs!! in 6 months! It costs me $200 a visit to get an adjustment and my body just doesn't want to lose. I am calling my clinic to make an appointment with our psych doc. Maybe I need some one-on-one phone sessions with her???

Thanks all for letting me vent :)

fyi - marriage is fine...just other stuff is piling up on my shoulders (too much!!)

I too am struggling to keep on track. Life has been so busy, that I stopped going to the gym every day. My band has 7.5 ccs, and while I still can eat quite a bit more than I should, I have stuck episodes at least once a week if not more. So I tend to choose slider foods, which are not always the best option. I did do a 5K last Sunday, really only walked it, and started back to the gym. I need to start logging my food again, because I have been gaining.

So Debbie your not alone, we just need to keep moving forward and remember WHY we did this. Jasmine if 1 cc is working for you and it seems like it is, I think you are just fine, 65lbs in 6 months is great! I am sitting at 45.

Keep in touch, this group is such a great support for me!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
