Angelina, it is a good sign!! It means that your wound started to heal. Do not scratch it just tap it would your hand. It will go away in 2-3 days. Later, when your steritrip or bandage is off you can apply coco-butter cream on the scar every day for 2-3 month to make the scar be smooth and heal nicely.

6 days post op.. and, I swear on all that is holy.. the port pain is going to kill me. ugh!

that's around when mine had me so worried i went to my doc. i may have had a hypochondriac moment, but once my doc told me i was healing nicely it did seem to feel better. i'd strained the muscle the port is sewn into on a walk the day before. ice packs over the area helped me quite a bit. he also prescribed me Ketorolac, which his nurse described as ibuprofen on steroids. it's non-narcotic but you can only take it 5 days b/c it's hard on the liver. my percoset wasn't really doing anything. 2 days of the new med and i felt almost back to normal.

good luck!

I was banded on July 16. Down 9lbs so far and feeling good. Gas pains still but not too bad. My left shoulder hurts ATM.. But hoping that goes away. But all in all..doing good :)

Hey there! I was banded on the 16th as well and I'm totally has free! I was taking the Gas X strips like it was my job and that helped SO MUCH! Also walking seemed to push it out as well.

How are you sleeping? I finally slept in my bed last night but was uncomfortable so I'm thinking ill try it again tonight and maybe go back to the recliner if I'm still in pain. I'm a stomach sleeper so laying on my back is frustrating!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
