Boob pressing on incision - anyone else have this?

Recommended Posts

Had surgery today. This boob thing is causing som discomfort. I wedged a washcloth in there to prop it up a bit, but it isn't solving the situation. My sister is bringing me a sports bra to try. Anyone else have this happen? Did you find a solution?

I wore a cami with built in bra after surgery and then regular bras after a couple days. I would just try something that elevates your breasts.

That's happening to me. I put my shirt between boob and incision. It was draining to I had a bandage on it too

I had the same problem. I was able to wear a wire bra and it lifted my boobs off of the incision. Luckily the wire sat higher than the incision. My boobs sat to low with a regular bra or by themselves they were real bad too. I guess it just depends on your anatomy and where the incision is. Good luck

I had to go braless the first week. Then the incision was healed enough.

I'm very heavy chested so I'm worried about this as well! Excited that your surgery went well though!! :D I say try the sports bra or a cami to lift the ladies up. Can't wait to hear how you are doing in a few days. :D

My sis brought a sports bra and it is helping a ton! Just have to keep the band from touching the incision but that hasn't been a problem. Highly recommend bringing one with you!

I also have a port where my bra touches and it gets sore. Even after years. Other places for ports may be better? Anyone have ports not under your boobs? Do tell

I had to wear those genie bras for the first two weeks because they were soft, flexible, and did not press on my port. I am 1 month out now and it has gotten better and I can wear the underwires now without problem.

My port is at my waist? Never heard of them close to the boobs? Had my lap band in 2008,

I think I need bras. The "girls" just aren't as perky as I'd like them to be. Gotta lift em up a bit. Some bras do hurt my port tho

I have seen those and wondered if they really live up to their expectation? Review??

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
