If you are a horse enthusiast like myself, I wondered when I could safely ride my horse after the lap band procedure. Well, I did it! I brought my favorite horse out of the stall, groomed her, put my 40 pound saddle on her, with no pain from my guts (haha), stepped up, and went for a nice quiet ride. I don't know which one of us was happier! She had quite the attitude not getting out for an adventure, I was feeling a little fenced in myself.... Glowing! That would be me, and my best bud!

Since it's so hot right now, I'm not getting much riding done.

I have been doing ground work to interact with them as well as grooming. I do worry about not getting in enough water with the band, when it's in the 90's everyday! Mostly, I trail ride and work in the arena. Western saddle is my favorite. A little reining, a little cutting. Not into competition, too much traveling!
