LOL I woke up sunday and still felt drunk. i told DH he better enjoy nights out like that because i can't get that drunk when i have the band. but my legs still hurt from dancing and dipping that I did. I think I danced for 4 hours straight with only one break to go pee. LOL

heather....where is your sig and av? :)

I try not to post sig on this thread b/c of all of the pages... and I am trying to do a new avatar. Not too thrilled with my results so far. They always look blurry! :)

Heather - great pics! I like the new do and your daughter is just adorable. She takes after her Mommy!

Funny - I would be pissed about my hair too. I mean, what gives these people the right to just do what THEY think would look good on you. Unless, of course, you specifically tell them to go ahead and do what they want. I hope the color comes out really soon. Oh, and I can't wait to see those pictures. It sounds as though you had a blast!! Rock on, girly.

Telly, P'Nut & Emilee - *hugs* for all of you!!

Hey Tricia_K,

*Hugs* trying to get back on track. Lost some weight over the weekend but fluctated b/c of the food. Mushies will make things interesting with the scale but nonetheless, I am progressing.

How was your weekend Tricia_K? Has your friend left? Did you have fun? Go Hog wild?

Hi Telly!

Good luck trying to get back on track. I'm doing the same thing.

My weekend went well. My friend was here from the 13th to the 21st so, yes, she has left. I did have fun though. I hadn't seen here in about 7 years so it was nice to catch up. I didn't necessarily go hog wild but I did have 3 shots on Friday night. Buttery nipples - - yummy!! I'm not much of a drinker so I was tipsy, to say the least. I also ate quite a bit of "unhealthy" food this past week. Now that I'm back on track, the scale is moving down again. I'm seeing 199 again, which makes me extremely happy.

I went to the gym this morning again. I haven't sweated that much in years! It felt so nice. I did 20 minutes of cardio and then those weight things I do... Don't ask what they are, but I believe we were at the gym for 45 min-1 hour. I just feel like a million bucks. Still loving the working out even though it is only week 2.

I know Tricia and Telly are working out... what about the rest of you? :)

Heather I asked about the sig cause i hadn't seen it in another thread. i was worried you were in delete mode. *pokes telly* LOL

Tricia i think we all need to eat bad and drink too much every once in a while. Not a habit mind you, but just enough to get in touch with your whimsical side. LOL

Heathergurl, keep it up hon. Soon, you'll start to feel guilty if you miss a day or two. You'll be obsessing over working out, when, where, what time. :) It's a good thing!

Nope, definitely not in delete mode... I also have gotten tired of people saying that we shouldn't post our siggy's because it is discouraging to others that aren't losing as quickly... So, I try to make it a point to put siggy in thread where those lurk....

I am not trying to be ugly, but I am not in any kind of race and I love looking at people's sigs. Let's me know about their journey.

To those people - - Bah Humbug!!

Personally, I don't put my sig in every post because mine is long and takes up a lot of space. :) I do keep it there when I respond to threads made by new members though.

just email me directly at amy@amydavisdigital.com. Attach it and i will send it back when i am done. can't guarantee anything, but i am pretty good with photoshop :)

I have NEVER heard of people saying that people's siggys are discouraging! That is so sad!! I hate that there are so many downers here when there are so many people that are trying to be happy and excited and positive about this journey.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
