For those who had to wait six months

While waiting for insurance approval, how much weight were you expected to loose?

My doctor told me it wasn't about losing weight, it was about beginning to make better choices and build better habits.

No expectations, my diet did not officially take place until my pre-op liquid diet but I was still careful what I ate. I was banded 12/28/12 and had a 2 week pre-op diet of Optifast. I'm almost 40 lbs down.

Just eat wisely and when you're approval comes through be prepared for your pre-op diet.

Wishing you well.

I'm having to do 6 months supervised and they told me I just couldn't gain weight.

None, same as above to eat wisely but no expected weight loss. I did lose about 10 pounds then the doctor submitted the paperwork, my insurance turned me down because I had lost to much weight. I regained it in the next month and then resubmitted and was approved. crazy. Hugs
