How soon after surgery did anybody see any weight loss?

I had surgery 4/12. Before surgery I was on a zero carbs diet-I lost 19lbs in 1 week. Since the morning of surgery, I have gained 4 lbs. I am on liquids and averaging 700 calories per day.

Sounds about right. Do not expect to lose until you are fully recovered from your surgery. Be Patient.

I had to go on a very strict diet for two weeks prior to my surgery and I lost 33 pounds in those weeks. I think I lost about 2-5 pounds a week and then after about two months it tapered down. Remember the old saying you did not put in on over night so you will not loose it over night. Everyone is different too. I lost 115 pounds in a little over a year.

I appreciate the answers! When I weighed after surgery I was joking saying that my Dr did the wrong surgery! Lol!
