Ok so I know it's inaccurate to weigh every day because it fluctuates but after day one of pre op diet I had to see, and I lost 5 freaking pounds! Even if its gonna fluctuate that made me so happy to see its been a while that I haven't been bouncing from 276-280. Now I'm at 269! Woo hoo! Sorry had I share my excitement lol

Blondechky...nice feeling isn't it?? My husband made a joke that I probably pooped it out. THAT WASN'T funny!! When I came back from the store yesterday I took a 5lb bag of sugar and put it in his hand and made him hold it for a minute. Trying to get him to understand that no matter what your weight, 5lbs makes a difference!

So, nice job! I haven't been on a scale in a week, I have to go buy one. I'm not sure if I want to

That's a good idea because you're right 5 pounds doesn't seem like much until you feel it and think wow that's not on my body anymore!

I told my husband to hide the scale so I would t drive myself crazy weighing every day. Guess he forgot!

I am totally amazed. Day 1 of preop was fantastic. I wasn't terribly hungry until supper and was able.to have two shakes. I didn't realize I'm allowed 4 a day. I've totally cut out my diet Dr pepper. This morning I had to check too and I lost 9 pounds!!!

I know its Water because I peed approximately 72 times yesterday (sorry for the tmi)...but who cares! I'm so excited to follow the plan now it doesn't matter. I also slept better than I have in months. I assume that's from refraining from all the caffeine in the evening.

What an excellent start to an already exciting journey!!

Awesome!! I'm so happy that your day 1 went so well! 9 pounds is great, Water weigh or not!! You're going to have to talk about a lot more than pee to offend me haha. I pee all of the time now too, because I drink TONS of water now! Good luck! What a great start!!

Leanne, I'm so glad it is going well for you... holy moly, 9lb in one DAY!! That's what I was thinking I might lose in the whole two weeks, LOL. Good for you :)

Anyway, for whatever reason, I wasn't told to start until today... and I hate to be a downer but I'm already not doing so great. I really didn't like the taste of the shake, and I found out it has aspartame in it which is an ingredient I have been avoiding for years. I have felt nauseous since I had it. I don't know how I will do this if I'm going to feel like I need to throw up all the time. I did email the nutritionist to see if there are other options... of course, whether or not I can find them in this small town will be another thing all together. So I guess I'll see what happens... I am feeling quite physically ill at the moment.

Holy hell!!! There must be something different they can give you. You'll find something amazing...it'll be okay. I've been drinking aspartame in my pop nonstop for years so it doesn't bug me at all. Let me know if the nutritionist gets back to you...and if there's anything I can do to help. I mean anything. Can you live off the veggies until you hear something back?

I hope they are able to get something for you that is better! I know it stinks, just keep pushing through. Dot worry about being a downer (read some of my posts Lol), we are here to support you. I emailed my dietician and told her that all of the food tasted like dog food or chalk Lol. I really hope you can get something that is tolerable. Good luck! You can do it!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
