i really pondered whether to post this or not

(i do not want to come across as bragging or boasting)

however i wanted to share as its pretty darn kewl.

this week alone, 5 people have said something to me about my weight loss (from out of the blue)...3 did not know i have had the surgery.

1. Jennifer who is our companys CFO, came up to me and said you are looking so good.

2. Darielle came up to me and said whatever you are doing, keep it going as you are looking (skinny)

3. Pat who is one of our accountants said you are looking amazing

4. Tiffany said i can really tell you are losing weight.

5. Dunkin Doughnut drive thru lady said wow, you have lost some weight

so i said the thank you and how sweet (and the southern thing well bless your heart)...i am excited that people notice or are noticing....still difficult to say (thank you) but i am getting use to it :)

The Dunkin Donut drive thru lady?!

a) what the heck were you doing at Dunkin Junkin Donuts?

B) I thought southerners all swore to be faithful to Krispy Kreme?

But seriously, I'm proud of you for being able to share those comments. Nothing wrong with bragging on something you worked so hard for!

I always find it easier to accept compliments from strangers. I usually dismiss comments from coworkers and friends as being intentional encouragement. A peril of working in the behavioral health field is becoming jaded to praise as reinforcement.

I still (4 1/2 years out) will get a compliment from someone that hasn't seen me in awhile. While it still feels great, I also wonder-will they always remember the heavy me? I've been this size for 3 1/2 years now.

Of course this is the perfect forum to "brag". There are newbies out there that need to hear it. Congratulations on your success. You are an inspiration!

God Bless

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
