Did my lap band slip?

I was having a pain in the center of my chest last night, it was like a spasm. This morning I feel Ike I have something stuck in my throat and I'm coughing a little. It feels weird to swallow my own saliva, and I haven't even tried eating yet because I don't want that spasming to start again. It seems worse when I'm sitting down. Do you think my lap band could have slipped? I can't go to the doctor till tomorrow. I'm drinking hot tea now, hopefully that will work.

Unfortunately there's no way we can know or even guess, just be sure to get into your surgeon tomorrow. If it has slipped, the sooner they catch it the better chance you have of being able to fix it without surgical intervention.

Personally, I'd stick to liquids until you see your doctor tomorrow, just to be safe.

Best wishes.

I had something like this happen when I went to my Dr he told me it is hard for the band to slip anymore you might of ate somethingthat didnt go down right try pineapple juice it helps me

Go to your dr tomorrow. Until then i would do only liquids.

hot tea is a good route.

When this happened to me the doc said I should lay off the hot and cold liquids until later, Some people are sensitive to temps at the beginning I guess. But call your doc they will be able to tell you exactly whats going on. Better safe than sorry!

Just kidding thought because you have been banded for a while!

I'm going to try to go to see the doc Tom, they should fit me in if I'm worried that it slipped. We will see. Thank you all!

Keep us posted best of luck

I don't regret any decision in my life because at the end I will make it work
