  1. I do. I'm a year out and I feel it sometimes. But mine might be closer to the surface. Idk. I can feel it if I put my hand over it. It was very creepy at first.
  2. Well if you are like me avoiding any is impossible! Some days I can eat eggs, other days I can't. Some days everything I eat gets stuck, other days nothing does! The band is a fickle thing. But there are some things that I avoid always. Like bread. It always gets stuck. And reheated meat. And pork! I can't do any of those. Good luck though!
  3. Not going to lie, it was so so hard. But keep in mind what it's for, it's worth it. I read a lot to keep my mind off food, it helped me. You will just have to find something to keep your mind off it.

  5. Well, as of 07-03-2012 it's been a year since my surgery. I'm down 62lbs, still got a lot to go though. I've fallen off the wagon a few times and haven't been as dedicated as I should have been. But all in all I'm glad I got the lap band. I couldn't have lost the weight I have without it!

  7. I'm going to try to go to see the doc Tom, they should fit me in if I'm worried that it slipped. We will see. Thank you all!
  8. I was having a pain in the center of my chest last night, it was like a spasm. This morning I feel Ike I have something stuck in my throat and I'm coughing a little. It feels weird to swallow my own saliva, and I haven't even tried eating yet because I don't want that spasming to start again. It seems worse when I'm sitting down. Do you think my lap band could have slipped? I can't go to the doctor till tomorrow. I'm drinking hot tea now, hopefully that will work.
  9. I've really been slacking! I had fluid taken out because my band wasn't allowing me to get hardly anything down. That was early November. After that I stoped going to the gym for some unknown reason and I haven't been back since! I got a fill yesterday, half of what they took out. But I'm just lacking the motivation! I gained 3 pounds, which sucks but I know that's my own fault. Anyways, my PA wants me to lose 10 pounds by mid feb which if deff doable, if I can get off my lazy butt! Thanks for reading my rant, any advice is much appreciated!
  10. Yep. Some days I can't hardly eat anything... other day I can just about anything. Except bread... I can never manage bread.
  11. I just had to get Fluid removed a month ago because I couldn't get anything down, you might want to consider getting some taken out if the problem continues. And they can always do a barium swallow to check the bad.
  12. Yay! Congrats!
  13. Yes and no. It's hard following the rules at times and simply not being able to have some foods. And when food gets stuck, it can hurt kinda bad. But all in all I would do it all over again, knowing what I know now. Just remember that you are working for the band and it will let you know what you can and can't digest. Listen to it and don't force yourself and take your time eating. It's worth it.
  14. I'm looking for some high protine breakfast ideas. I'm so sick of eggs!!! Anyone have some ideas for a high protine low carb breakfast that possible doesn't involve eggs! ))
  15. I think I have 7ccs in my band and I can take pills. I take wellbutrin fine, but it's round. I am currently taking an antibiotic that is a capsule and it seems to be going down fine. As long as its not time release you should be able to break it. But I believe cymbalta is time release.
  16. Some days my band is so tight I can hardly eat anything without getting stuck. And other days I feel like I need a fill! But drinking something Hot does help. And in the mornings its the worst.
