Holy Stuck Episodes !!!
I can't eat in the morning, my band is just to tight. But if you drink some hot tea or coffee it should relax it a little. At least that works for me.

Dealing With A Sweet Tooth
Go out and buy the hungry girl cook book by Lisa Lillian. She has low cal recipes for all sorts of yummie things! I wouldn't recommend eating them daily because it's a lot of artificial stuff! But incase of a week tooth emergency or have a craving for something fatty it's a wonderful trade off!

Why Am I Not Losing???
Hun its ok! My Weight loss slowed once I got off the liquid diet. I have had 3 fills and now I'm starting to lose weight. Are you working out? The lap band is a slow weight loss and you are not that far out of surgery. I got banded July 3 and since then I have only lost like 15 pounds... Granted I wasn't working out. But since I have been working out I have lost another 5! And that was just in a week! It's amazing what working out can do, exapecially when you are not use to it! Once you get a few fills you will notice a difference. Also you might want to try to eat more dense foods like chicken breast and stuff. If you are allowed.

The "easy" Way Out...
I get so annoyed when I hear people say that we are taking the easy way out! Not a darn thing is easy about it! I still have to do everything anyone else would do to lose weight. It's not some magical band that makes us lose weight while we sit on the couch eating ice cream watching home improvement reruns (I wish!). We all have to work, I just think of it as a helping hand! It's very easy to cheat the band, we still need to tell ourselves no and work out and eat healthy! It's certainly not the easy way out. I just needed to rant! * steps off soap box*

What Do Y'all Mean It Won't Go Down?
- What Are Your Gauged Foods?
Mine is protine. I'll eat a turkey burger with out bread and it keeps me full for around 4-5 hours. Also I will make my own chili and use ground turkey breast and add kidney beans and black beans and garbanzo beans... So it's packed full of protine! I've never actually added it up, but it's a good amount.- What Is A Typical Day For You?

- Help! I've Been Asked To Be A Guest Speaker!
I've never done this. But I would just tell how much you feel comfortable with, I would talk about what you had trouble with also, so others can work on that. But if you are comfortable with talking about how much you have lost I say go for it. I always want to know that kind of thing, I can't be the only one. Good luck!- San Antonio Banded May 22
- When Did They Notice?
I guess maybe a month or so. People were saying my face looked thinner. Today I wore a fitted shirt and my aunt said she could tell I've lost weight. I got banned on July 3rd and have only lost 35 pounds since then! I'm a little disappointed, but it's my own fault for not working out like I should. But I'm back on track now! So hopefully it starts coming off again!- Eating Slowly....
I have such a problem with this, and not drinking when I'm eating. I try to use that little sand timer they gave me... But I always forget to turn it I we. Are there any other tips or tricks anyone has learned to help them with this. I have stuck episodes sometimes, but they always go down eventually. Im just worried about stretching that little pouch.- Trouble Foods?...
Thanks. I'll just be careful and see what works for me.- Trouble Foods?...
I'm newly banded and am still in the mushy stage. But I'm just curious what foods you have had trouble with? I hear a lot of people say bread and pasta give them the most trouble. Just wondering, I would love to avoid a stuck episode!- Finally Bandded!
Yesterday I was banded, I had to stay in the hospital over night for insurance reasons. But all in all I'm feeling ok. Friday I had to have my gallblader removed and I seemed to be in more pain with that then I am now... Knock on wood! I'm sore and bloated but I'm moving around ok. I haven't eaten much since surgery, one Popsicle and half a cup of jello, I'm hungry, just don't have a desire to eat! I also keep feeling like I have to burp but it's stuck in the throat. Is that a normal thing? If you can maybe give some ideas of what to expect the next few weeks while I'm adjusting that would be helpful! Thank you!- Liquid Pre Opt Diet Help!!!!
- Liquid Pre Opt Diet Help!!!!

Today I feel a lot better. I haven't eaten anything yet because I have that gallbladder test this morning.- Pre Op Diet Hell
I'm only on day 2! It's so hard. I did cheat today, but I felt so sick! I just had a low fat string cheese, but it made me feel so much better! You made it this far, so just try and look on the bright side and if you must cheat eat something healthy. Good luck!- For Those Of Us On The Pre Opt Diet...
- Gaining Weight On My Preop Diet!!?? Help
My pre opt diet is only liquids. I'm only on day 2 so I don't know of I have lost anything yet, but I feel really bloated and sick. Very nauseous and bad headaches. I'm maybe getting in 500 or 600 calories.- Inspiration...something... Anything!
I would eat a bowl of plain lettuce right now and be happy lol!- Inspiration...something... Anything!
Better. I got some of the Adkins shakes. They are way better! I've only drank 2 so far an only one Jello cup, but I have a bad headache! How about you? - What Are Your Gauged Foods?
