I never thought I would say this, but THANK YOU LORD for pureed food...

Dietary instructions now say if I can drink it through a straw, go for it! I bought a can of chicken and rice tortilla soup, threw it into the blender with a couple of springs of fresh cilantro, and a spoonful of hot salsa and pureed it. Poured a 1/2 cup and I am in heaven! I have missed spices soooo much. Now to wait and see how my stomach likes it. Tomorrow, homemade refritos thinned with chicken broth.

You go Terry! The world is opening up to you!

You're MILES ahead of where i was at that stage. I could barely choke down much and lived on cream of chicken soup and cream of wheat. (boring and bland, but enough calories to keep me alive. LOL) You're doing great by taking the diet restrictions seriously and catering to your personal needs and tastes (but not breaking any rules). Wait until you get to solid foods. It'll taste AMAZING, even in the small amounts you'll have. I remember really "tasting" my food and not just inhaling it.

Ditto Det...I can't believe how much more I appreciate the taste of food since I'm actually taking the time to chew it! I have a whole new appreciation!
