Doing good. A little groggy, no gas pains yet. Had an anxiety attack right after surgery, could not breathe (hyperventillated) and sat straight up and oh the pain. Going home now.

Hello everyone

My surgery was on the 8th of Feb. I am doing good so for. Still sore in the port area. I was on liquids after surgery and starving. Called surgeon amd was told I could eat soft solids. Nothing in my band at this point. Not expecting to lose weight until after my first fill. Does anyone know a good tasting Protein Shake?

I use to drink medifast shakes and those were probably the best Protein Shakes I have tried. U might be able to order them online but my surgeon has me drinking arbonne shakes right now for pre-op. not too bad but a little chalky tasting. I think u can order those online as well and cause they sale all different kinds of products like beauty products, dietary supplements, spa supplies and the list goes on. I also googled recipes for band patients and some Protein shakes popped up.

I was banded last friday and have been itchy everywhere. I am told that everything is healing and it will go away. I have claw marks from scratching.

I was banded last Thursday and am super itchy. You have to bear it cause instructions on paper says no lotions on stomach. Hang in there ...it will get better.

Hi I'm new here. I was approved about 3 weeks ago and now I'm scheduled for surgery this Friday 2-22. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. Like many posts I've read, I've chosen not to tell anyone about my surgery except for my mom and a 1 co-worker, not because of lack of support that I may or may not get, but because it's no ones business but mine. I work at the same hospital that I'm having my surgery, so I'm sure other co-workers will find out sooner or later.

I'm just finishing up my 2 weeks of the pre-op liquid diet, which I'm sure other past Banders know, has been very difficult. I'm just hoping that all goes well with my surgery and can't wait for my new life on the other side.

I am already starting to excerise a little not to much really! I can't go back to work for another 3 weeks which I don't like mainly cause I am bored out of my mind! I have started on some craft projects and they are all but finished does anybody have any ideas on how to keep the boredom away! I can't return to work due to at my job I lift all day!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
