Quick question' date=' how soon after being banded did you have your post-op appointment and fill? I was banded yesterday (january 28th) and my doctor wants to see me back for a fill in two weeks.[/quote']

My surgery was today and my first appointment is on February 25th. I have internal absorbent stickes and wound glue for my 5 incisions. Two big ones and three very small ones. My port is mid right of my abdomen.

Maybe I ate the wrong stuff today but I do know I'm still quite a bit swollen tomorrow I will start again I know the band is ok because I had X-rays and a cat scan on Tuesday. I will have to be more careful. I'm also on full liquids and not clear anymore

Hi guys 9 days post op had appointment to have staples out. Was I ever happy to find out I lost 4 pounds. said I wasn't going to worry about scale numbers. I lied. this is cool. I then went to primary doctor to find I have actually lost 16 lbs since DEC 20th. I was also told I could start soft solids today. how nice it was to chew.

Congratulations girl!!!! That's awesome. I start on soft foods today too! I made cream of wheat for bfast but could only eat 3 tablespoons but you bet I chewed every bite and loved that feeling of something other than liquid in my mouth! What are you planning to eat today?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
