Pain eating and drinking after fill...

My fill was last Tuesday. Now have 8cc's in a 10cc band. Never had much restriction before but now I have a pain in my band whenever I try to drink or eat. It doesn't come back up but I can only eat or drink a little bit. I have never felt pain in my band before. I am going to call Monday morning but I worry that something is wrong. I have so much acid and burning too which I never had before.

Sounds like you need to unfill a bit. Take it easy until you can get to the doctor.

Do you have pain if you only drink and not eat? If so, you are probably too tight and need a small unfill. If you have pain when you eat and then try to drink, you could be too tight or may not be eating correctly? You've had your band for nearly a year so you probably already know eh?

Some people who have never had restriction may still be eating improperly. You know, big bites, not chewing enough blah, blah. Usually restriction comes on a little at a time if the doc is putting small amounts of saline in the band each fill.

I have pain all the time, like a throbbing in the band area. Hurts worse if I drink or eat.

Unfill a tiny tiny bit...do not suffer its not worth the risk of a band slip or feeling miserable. It's crazy how a very small fill can make a huge difference, as well as an unfill. I'm looming at a lot of similar posts including me. Maybe the stress of holidays, traveling, the winter...but many if us are experiencing much more restriction that may need slight unfilled. I have been banded two years this month. Learning to listen to my body. I'm almost at goal and need to take a step back and reflect on this journey. It didn't come off over night, and I'm not on a time constraint. Take care of our health:)

I had fill on Monday . I felt faint after and nausea after. Threw up my morning meds yesterday but was able to keep down food rest of the day. I started my period could that be part of it? Don't think I need an unfill and so far feeling like half way better so far. Any ideas?
