Banded Yesterday

It didn't hurt as bad as I had anticipated. I was discharged this morning. My surgeon said my liver looked great, so my starving wasn't in vain ;-) I'm on a schedule of walk, walk, walk, SIP, SIP, SIP & sleep today. :-) Thanks to everyone who has offered kind words and advice that helped me get this far. My new journey begins!

Is vomiting the first day typical? Just rying to get a feel for what to expect.

I did not vomit at all.

Button good luck to you too!

Jersey I think its awesome you can walk that much! Ive done a bunch of smaller walks today... I should probably walk some more right now! walking is helping me burp.

Last night went well. Still sore though. My 3 boys ages 4,3 and 2 want to get our Christmas tree today. Don't know if I can handle the walking but it is snowing out.

My doc pumped me full of so much anti nausea meds, I don't think its possible I could have been sick! Lol I also wore the tiny patch behind my ear for 3 days to prevent nausea. I hope all you new bandsters recover well and best wishes to you all!

I am so afraid to throw up because I am afraid it will slip. I thought yesterday during my swallow test I would throw up but I didn't.

I got in 2 8 oz. Protein drinks' date=' a can of chicken broth, some Jello and lots of Water. I wish I could pass some of this gas. It really hurts. My incisions are still sore. I walked 3 different times today. I know I walked more than a mile altogether but it hasn't helped with the gas yet. It does feel pretty good to stand up though.[/quote']

Try some Gas Strips. They dissolve on your tongue! They took away all my gas in my left shoulder and stomach.
