Scratched My Throat On A Pill...

I have to take these horse pill muscle relaxers for my back and I've been having a difficult time getting them down and that's even cutting them in half. Tonight I went to take the first half and almost choked on it and luckily it came back up or hubbie would have needed to do the hymlick on me...

My throat is so sore now, I really did a number on it. I wonder if I should do liquids tomorrow?? I also need to see if the pharmacy can get me something smaller.

Anyone have this issue? This is my first problem with pills after 20 months banded...

Ouch!! Have you tried taking the pill with some yoghurt? Apparently it's supposed to help pills go down easier.

Thanks I will try both of those suggestions. Its still really sore this morning, I think I am on liquids today. thanks gals

I never had problems taking pills but please don't cut your pills without checking with a pharmacist or doctor first. Not all pills can be cut.

I cut mine in quarters if they are too big but I do check with the dr before he prescribes them to make sure it's ok.
