Stay hydrated and take care of yourself.

I had a massive migraine the day after surgery. I tried to stay hydrated as well, but also took a pain pill & it eventually helped. It was the only pain pill I ever took.

Get a cold wash cloth & put it over your forehead & stay in a dark room.

Feel better !

Just curious...did you do a pre op liquid diet? Or stop caffeine or sugar preop? I ask because it sound like the same type of symptoms as when you elimate those things from your diet....if it is it should pass soon. Take some liquid Tylenol to help you get through it.

Also consider the anesthesia stays in your body for quite some time. After major surgery I had a reaction like this. Dark room, cold washcloth, no noise. If you get it under control, stay on top of the pain by taking meds on time. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Thanks everyone, I scheduled a deep tissue massage this am with my therapist, luckily she is a good friend whom is not into Black Friday shopping.

My surgeon never put me on any special diet before the banding so I could also be going thru caffeine withdraw.

Caffeine pill I had a severe migraine also!

Sorry I had to have my chai tea (us) this am, i know it's not permitted but that's one thing I cannot sacrifice due to the caffeine.

Thanks feeling better, had my chai tea this am and it has really helped.

I kept getting migraines as well fearing it was the caffeine. Found I was having a reaction to the liquid pain meds they gave me. Side effect was headaches! Wish id of known that prior to taking more of the pain Med thinking it was gonna help with the headache!
