Vacation!!

Recommended Posts

I am officially going away on November 26th! To Mayan riviera Mexico :D my husband surprised me with the trip for my 24th birthday and for Christmas! (spoiled I know ) I am at 167.4 lbs as of this morning.. I litterally stood on the scale with my mouth wide open, got off, got on again and thought I was dreaming. I have not been this light since before I had my oldest daughter who is now 6! The thrill is phenominal, but I'm scared because I still see myself looking 180lbs and cannot seem to see myself any smaller. I'm afraid that no matter what I will not be happy with the mirror. Anyone else suffering from body dismorphic disorder? Anyone who has best it? Husband tells me I look great in my bathing suits wish I could feel the same :)

I've lost almost 100 lbs (now 150'ish) and still feel fat. I keep a before pic of me in my purse tho, to remind myself. Since we look at ourselves in the mirror everyday, you don't see the big changes that occur. People who haven't seen me in ages are amazed tho. And I didn't meet my husband until about 75 lbs down, so he never really knew me super obese. I feel fat tho everyday. Not sure if I'll feel the same when I finally get to goal (135) someday!

Have a fun vacation! And you can do them without gaining. I've been on 3 Mexican cruises and managed never to gain a pound. The first one I actually lost a couple lbs cuz I was so seasick!

I just returned from a week in the Caribbean.... I have lost 215 lbs and I am clocking in at 162. I wear a 8/10 or medium on the bottom and 6/8 or small on top. I am 5'9"'and I felt like the largest girl on the beach. Now I know deep down I wasn't and I could easily identify heavier people than me but still I would look at someone and say to hubby...gee I want to be her size and he would say... You are!!!

I don't know when that stops.... If anyone has the secret... I am all ears.

PS I lost 3 lbs on vacay!

Have a great time! I just got back from a two week cruise to NE and Canada in early October. They have a great fitness center on board ship, I worked out twice a day and lost 7 pounds. Ask them to cook things the way you want it done, they will! They had great SF deserts too, I tried several but only a bite! It was great. Have fun!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
