Lap Band Buddy Under 40

Recommended Posts

I was wondering....

IF you send message and not just an update then no one else can see that. And when you make a comment on someone else's post just make sure it's not in regards to your lb because your friends will get notified that you made a comment and they could click to go see what you said.

I don't know if there is a way to turn off this type of notification though.

Thank you!

So how's very one doing? My big day is gettin closer... Dec 3! I am 34 and have a lower bmi, 32. Yet obese is obese! I hope this is my time! My nerves are getting worse lol! I am trying I mentally prepare myself for this

Positive change but every once in awhile the thoughts of my track record over the past 20 years ( obviously not good lol) creep in and I get nervous! Any thoughts?

Hey friends! 33 years old and banded with plication just 5 days ago. I started at 315lbs when I started my liquid diet on October 21st, and as of this morning, I'm at 287lbs! 22lbs of that was lost, pre-op during liquid diet.

I am very pleased. My surgeon told me that plication will not only decrease the chances of slips, but also accelerates the weightloss as well as adds greater percentage of excess weight loss. My surgeon also took a picture of my band and completed plication to give to my family waiting for me to come out of recovery.

I'm glad you're doing we'll and that you feel young, but I disagree, age is not only a number. I made this post bc I wanted to speak to people in my age group, not a parental figure. People closer to my age like to share and listen rather than just tell people what they should think, feel, and do. I don't think you're old in any way, but the way I relate to people is MUCH different than you.

Age smage lol.. Does it matter when we are all going through the same thing? I need some buddies on NGO to so pls add me. A question about it... Can anyone else see the conversations you have with other people on there? Like I'm not telling many people I am having wls so if somebody who doesn't know adds me' date=' can they see my conversations with others who have had wls?[/quote']

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
