I was banded 09/14/12 and am 29 years old. The only people I have met in the support groups that have had lap band are over 70 years old and are having completely different issues than me. I would love to chat with someone young that is going through or has gone through what I have gone through. I think the reason why I don't know of anyone in my age group that has had Lap band is because we keep it a secret for the most part and the seniors love to share. Hi, if you consider 35 young, I'm on here pretty often . I know when I was your age, I did not consider my age young, lol, but now that I'm here, I don't feel any different than I did at your age. And you're right, I do keep it a secret and have only told my mom, dad, (not my brother), and 2 ladies (older ladies) at work that would be understanding, supportive, and not tell anyone. I was wondering....

IF you send message and not just an update then no one else can see that. And when you make a comment on someone else's post just make sure it's not in regards to your lb because your friends will get notified that you made a comment and they could click to go see what you said.

I don't know if there is a way to turn off this type of notification though.
